• Strong presentation skills
• An accomplished writing style, and strong spelling and grammar skills
• Project management understanding and the ability to follow processes correctly

What you’ll be doing
• Taking new business calls and responding to requests for information and proposals via phone and email – you’ll often be the first point of contact and first impressions are everything
• Taking detailed briefs for new projects – listening to clients and asking the right questions to get to the bottom of their objectives
• Using the database system to create estimates, invoices, purchase orders and new contacts
• Costing up projects – from the very small to the very large
• Briefing in-house or freelance writers on new projects, ensuring you’ve given them everything they need to have the best chance of getting it right first time
• Proofreading and editing work as it comes back from writers, before the client sees it, and/or delivering constructive feedback to writers
• Attending face-­to-­face client meetings – for new business purposes, to take a brief or simply to catch up
• Identifying and seizing opportunities to up-­ and cross-­sell to existing clients – helping clients identify how we can best support them and add the most value to their business
• Keeping the in-­house team updated on any new projects, your workload etc. to make sure we’re all working together to give clients the best service
• Attending networking events as and when required
• Attending quarterly team meetings, contributing news ideas and helping to build Stratton Craig as the number one copywriting team

The small print
• Minimum of three years’ account management or marketing experience
• Two professional references required
• Competitive salary + bonus
• Must be able to work at our Bristol office Monday-­Friday and be prepared to travel for meetings as required
• Proof of eligibility to work in the UK required
