In February, Twitter reached 500 million users. Facebook nurtures over 100 billion connections worldwide with over 845 million monthly users. LinkedIn has over 150 million members, and 2011’s newcomer, Pinterest already has 11.7 million monthly unique visitors. Social media, and more importantly, social consumption, is most definitely a force to be reckoned with.
